Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones Laborate Pharmaceuticals uses on this website, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.
Introduction
This Cookie Policy ("Policy") explains how Laborate Pharmaceuticals India Ltd. ("Laborate", "we", "our", or "us") uses cookies and similar browser technologies when you visit our corporate website at laborate.com.
We believe in transparency. This Policy tells you clearly what cookies we currently use, what we do not use, why each cookie exists, and how you can control your preferences — both now and through the consent management system we will deploy as part of our WordPress implementation.
This Policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more broadly, and our Terms & Conditions, which govern your use of the website.
Our Current Cookie Footprint Is Minimal
Laborate currently uses only Google Analytics 4 for website analytics, plus strictly necessary cookies for basic website operation. We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, social media trackers, behavioural profiling, or personalisation technologies. A full cookie consent management system will be deployed in a future phase — see Section 10.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places in your web browser or on your device when you visit a page. They are universally used across the web to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide website operators with information about how their sites are used.
Not all data stored by a website is a "cookie" in the traditional sense. Modern browsers support several storage mechanisms, each with different properties:
_ga are persistent, typically lasting 1–2 years. Why We Use Cookies
Laborate uses a deliberately minimal set of cookies to achieve specific, justified purposes. We do not use cookies as a tool for surveillance, tracking across other websites, building behavioural profiles, or serving targeted advertising.
Our current and future cookie use is limited to the following purposes:
- Website operation — Strictly necessary session management and security tokens that enable the website to function correctly. These cannot be disabled without breaking core website functionality.
- Analytics — Understanding how visitors navigate our website in aggregate, which pages are most visited, and where we can improve content and usability. We currently use Google Analytics 4 for this purpose, with consent gating where required by applicable law.
- Consent management (future) — Storing your cookie preferences between visits so that you are not re-prompted on every page. This will be implemented when the full consent management system is deployed.
- Functional preferences (future) — Remembering optional preferences such as language or region to improve your experience. Currently not deployed.
- Security and load balancing — Server-set session tokens used for infrastructure purposes (e.g., load balancer affinity) that are strictly necessary and carry no personal data.
We do not use cookies for advertising, remarketing, cross-site tracking, behavioural profiling, or any other purpose beyond those listed above. See Section 6 for an explicit list of what we do not do.

Status Key
Active — currently deployed on laborate.com. Not Deployed — category is defined and architecturally ready but no cookies in this category are currently set. Not Used — Laborate has made a deliberate decision not to use this category. Future — anticipated when planned website features are implemented.
Cookies Currently in Use
The following cookies are currently set on laborate.com. This list reflects our current technical implementation and will be updated as the website evolves. The Cookie Registry in Section 12 provides a more complete technical record.
5.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are set automatically by our hosting infrastructure and WordPress platform to support basic website operation. They do not track you or store any personally identifying information.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
wordpress_test_cookie |
Laborate / WordPress | Tests whether the browser supports cookies. Set and immediately deleted. Does not persist. | Session | First-party |
| [load balancer session] | Hosting infrastructure | Ensures a visitor's requests during a session are routed to the same server (session affinity). No personal data stored. | Session | First-party |
Note: WordPress does not set persistent tracking cookies for general (non-logged-in) visitors. Admin-area authentication cookies (e.g. wordpress_*, wp-settings-*) are set only for authenticated admin users and are not relevant to general website visitors.
5.2 Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics 4)
Google Analytics 4 sets the following cookies to help us understand how visitors use laborate.com. These cookies are loaded only with your consent where required by applicable law. All data is collected in anonymised, aggregated form — individual visitor identities are not shared with Laborate.
The exact cookie name for the _ga_[ID] cookie contains the GA4 Measurement ID assigned to the laborate.com property. This ID is a configuration value managed in the CMS and is not published here to avoid unnecessary exposure.
| Cookie Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics | Assigns a unique anonymous ID to distinguish individual users. Used to calculate user, session, and campaign data for analytics reports. | 2 years | First-party (laborate.com domain) |
_ga_[MEASUREMENT_ID] |
Google Analytics | Stores and updates a unique value for each visit. Used to maintain session state within Google Analytics 4. | 2 years | First-party (laborate.com domain) |
_gid |
Google Analytics | Assigns an anonymous session identifier to distinguish users within a 24-hour window. Used in some GA4 configurations alongside the _ga cookie. | 24 hours | First-party (laborate.com domain) |
How We Configure Google Analytics 4
Our GA4 implementation anonymises IP addresses before transmission to Google's servers. Data retention in the GA4 property is set to 14 months. We do not enable Google Signals, advertising features, or cross-device tracking in GA4. GA4 data is not shared with Google for advertising purposes. Cookie names and identifiers may change as Google updates the GA4 platform — this table reflects current known names.
Cookies We Do Not Use
We want to be equally transparent about what we do not do. The following technologies and cookie types are explicitly not in use on laborate.com:
- Advertising cookies — We do not use cookies to serve targeted, contextual, or programmatic advertisements on this or any other website.
- Behavioural profiling — We do not build profiles of individual users based on browsing history, content consumption, or behavioural patterns.
- Remarketing pixels — We do not use Meta Pixel, Google Ads conversion tags, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any similar remarketing technology to track visitors after they leave our website.
- Affiliate tracking — We do not participate in affiliate marketing programmes and do not use cookies to track referrals or commissions.
- Cross-site tracking — We do not use technologies designed to track individuals across multiple websites or applications.
- Heatmapping and session recording — We do not use Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, FullStory, or any session recording or heatmapping service.
- A/B testing platforms — No split-testing or multivariate testing tools are currently deployed.
- CRM tracking pixels — No HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar CRM tracking scripts are currently embedded in the website.
- Chat widget trackers — No live chat platform (Intercom, Zendesk, Drift, etc.) is currently deployed on the website.
- Sale of data — We do not sell, rent, or share cookie data or browsing data with third parties for their commercial purposes.
Our Privacy Commitment
Laborate is a pharmaceutical manufacturer — not an advertising business. Our website exists to serve healthcare professionals, business partners, and the public with accurate corporate and product information. We will never use visitor data for advertising, profiling, or purposes beyond those described in this Policy and our Privacy Policy.
Future Cookie Expansion
As the Laborate website grows and new services are introduced, we may deploy additional technologies that set cookies or use browser storage. This section documents the categories of expansion we anticipate, so you can understand the direction of our implementation.
We will update this Cookie Policy and our Cookie Registry (Section 12) whenever new cookies are deployed. Where consent is required under applicable law, we will request it through our Cookie Preference Centre before activating any new technology.
Anticipated Future Deployments
- Google Tag Manager — May be deployed to centralise script management. GTM itself does not set tracking cookies, but it can load scripts that do. All scripts loaded via GTM will remain subject to the consent logic described in Section 10.
- Embedded video (YouTube / Vimeo) — If video content is embedded on product or brand pages, embedded media cookies may be set when users interact with players. YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode will be used where possible.
- Live chat (future) — If a support or business enquiry chat widget is deployed, it may set functional cookies to maintain chat state and session history.
- CRM integration (future) — If a CRM platform (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) is integrated for lead management, it may set cookies to associate web sessions with CRM contact records. This will always require explicit user consent.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag (future) — May be deployed to measure the effectiveness of LinkedIn-sponsored content campaigns. Would require explicit advertising consent before activation.
- Performance monitoring (future) — A Real User Monitoring (RUM) tool may be deployed to track Web Vitals and page performance metrics in aggregate.
- Language and region preferences (future) — If the website is localised for additional markets, functional cookies may be used to remember language or regional format preferences.
Consent Before Activation
Before any new non-essential technology is activated on laborate.com, this Cookie Policy and the Cookie Registry will be updated, and — where legally required — fresh consent will be requested through the Cookie Preference Centre. You will not be opted into new cookie categories without the opportunity to review and accept them.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have several options for managing cookies on laborate.com. Your choices can be made at different levels — through our website's own consent tools (when deployed), or through your browser settings.
8.1 Cookie Preference Centre (Coming Soon)
When our full consent management system is deployed, you will be able to manage your cookie preferences at any time through our Cookie Preference Centre. This will allow you to:
- View all cookie categories in use on laborate.com
- Toggle individual categories on or off (except Strictly Necessary, which cannot be disabled)
- Save and update your preferences at any time
- Review the specific cookies and third-party services within each category
A "Cookie Preferences" link will be permanently available in the website footer on all pages.
8.2 Browser Settings
All major web browsers provide controls for managing cookies. You can use your browser to:
- Block all cookies (note: this may break the functionality of many websites, including some features of laborate.com)
- Block third-party cookies only (less disruptive, still reduces some tracking)
- Delete all existing cookies stored on your device
- Delete cookies from a specific website
- Set up notifications when a website attempts to set a cookie
Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Browser cookie settings can be found in: Chrome — Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies. Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data. Safari — Preferences → Privacy. Edge — Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions. Opera — Settings → Advanced → Privacy & Security → Cookies. These menus allow you to block, allow, or delete cookies per site or globally. Settings may vary by browser version.
8.3 Opt-Out of Google Analytics
If you wish to opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites you visit, Google provides a browser add-on for this purpose. The Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript from sharing information about your visit with Google Analytics. This is separate from our own consent mechanism and applies globally across all GA-enabled websites.
Third-Party Services
The following table lists all third-party services currently integrated or anticipated on laborate.com, along with their cookie implications and current status. Only services marked "Active" are currently operating.
| Service | Provider | Purpose | Cookie / Storage | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Google LLC (USA) | Website traffic and behaviour analytics (anonymised) | Cookies: _ga, _ga_*, _gid (first-party domain) | Active — consent-gated |
| Google Fonts | Google LLC (USA) | Web font delivery (Sora, Inter) via Google CDN | No cookies set; Google may log the font request IP (CDN log). Consider self-hosting for stricter privacy. | Active — no consent required (no cookie set) |
| Google Maps (Contact Page) | Google LLC (USA) | Interactive map embedded on Contact Us page | Google may set cookies when users interact with the embedded map (scroll, zoom, click Directions) | Active — embedded via iframe; cookies set on user interaction |
| YouTube | Google LLC (USA) | Embedded product / corporate video content | Cookies set on video play; YouTube Privacy-Enhanced mode reduces tracking | Future — not yet deployed |
| LinkedIn Ireland (EU) / Microsoft | Professional social sharing or Insight Tag for campaign analytics | Cookies if Insight Tag or share widget embedded | Future — not yet deployed | |
| Meta (Facebook / Instagram) | Meta Platforms Ireland (EU) | Social media embeds or advertising measurement | Cookies if Meta Pixel or Instagram embed deployed | Future — not yet deployed |
| Google Tag Manager | Google LLC (USA) | Centralised script deployment and tag management | GTM itself sets no tracking cookies; controls loading of other scripts | Future — not yet deployed |
| Live Chat / Support Platform | TBD | Visitor support, enquiry routing, business chat | Typically sets functional session and chat history cookies | Future — provider not yet selected |
For information about how Google processes data collected via Google Analytics and Google Maps, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy and Google's Cookies Policy. Laborate does not control Google's data processing practices or Google's cookie lifespans beyond the configuration options available in the GA4 property settings.
Cookie Consent
Where required by applicable law — including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (India), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the EU ePrivacy Directive — we obtain your consent before activating non-essential cookies.
10.1 Current State
Our full cookie consent management system is not yet deployed. Our current implementation loads Google Analytics 4 in accordance with our legal assessment of applicable requirements. Where GA4 requires consent (for example, for visitors from EU member states), we will implement appropriate consent gating as part of our full CMP deployment.
10.2 Future Consent System
When our Cookie Preference Centre is deployed, the consent experience on laborate.com will work as follows:
- First visit — A cookie consent banner will be displayed, asking you to make a choice. No non-essential cookies will be activated until you have made a choice or the banner is displayed.
- Your choices — The banner will offer three options: Accept All (activates all enabled cookie categories), Reject Non-Essential (only strictly necessary cookies remain active), and Manage Preferences (opens the Cookie Preference Centre for granular per-category control).
- Saving preferences — Your consent choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under a Laborate-specific key. This record includes the consent version (tied to this Cookie Policy's version number) and the timestamp of your choice.
- Consent validity — Consent records will be valid for 12 months. After this period, you will be asked to confirm your preferences again.
- Policy updates — If we make material changes to this Cookie Policy or add new cookie categories, the consent version number will change and you will be prompted to review and re-confirm your preferences.
- No retroactive consent — If you select "Reject Non-Essential", non-essential cookies will not be activated, regardless of any previously accepted version.
Cookie Consent System: Not Yet Active
The cookie consent banner and Preference Centre described in this section are planned for deployment in a future phase of the laborate.com development programme. Until that system is live, you can manage your cookie preferences using your browser settings (see Section 8.2) or by opting out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out tool (see Section 8.3).
Withdrawing Consent
You may withdraw or modify your cookie consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that occurred before the withdrawal.
Current Options
- Browser cookie settings — Use your browser's cookie management controls to block or delete cookies from laborate.com at any time (see Section 8.2). This immediately prevents further cookie-based tracking but does not retroactively delete data already collected.
- Google Analytics opt-out — Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your browser from sending data to Google Analytics across all websites. This is effective immediately upon installation.
- Incognito / Private browsing mode — Using your browser's private browsing mode means cookies are not stored after you close the browser window. Note that this does not prevent cookies from being set during the session itself.
- Contact us — If you have questions about your data or wish to request deletion of analytics data attributable to your device, please contact us at legal@laborate.com. Note that because GA4 stores only anonymous identifiers, we may not be able to identify and delete data linked to a specific individual without additional context.
Future Options (When Consent System Is Deployed)
- Cookie Preference Centre — Accessible via the "Cookie Preferences" link in the website footer. Allows you to toggle individual categories and save updated preferences instantly.
- Re-prompt on version change — If we update this Cookie Policy in a material way, you will be automatically re-prompted to review and update your preferences.
- Revoke all — Selecting "Reject Non-Essential" in the Cookie Preference Centre immediately stops all non-essential scripts and cookies from operating in your browser session.
Cookie Registry
The Cookie Registry is the authoritative record of every cookie currently set on laborate.com. It is maintained in the WordPress CMS and updated whenever a cookie is added, modified, or removed. Entries marked "Future" are pre-registered for planned technologies but are not currently active.

Cookie Preference Matrix
The Preference Matrix provides a clear reference for how each cookie category is controlled, whether users can toggle it, and whether consent is required before activation. This matrix will be reflected in the Cookie Preference Centre UI when it is deployed.

All non-essential categories default to off. A user must actively opt in to each category. "Always On" applies exclusively to Strictly Necessary cookies, which cannot be disabled without impairing website functionality. The Advertising category is listed for completeness; Laborate does not currently intend to deploy advertising cookies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, new services we introduce, or changes in applicable law. When we make changes, we update the "Last Updated" date in the metadata panel at the top of this page and update the Cookie Registry accordingly.
For material changes — particularly the introduction of new cookie categories or new third-party services — we will update the consent version number. When our consent management system is deployed, this will trigger a re-prompt for affected users, ensuring you are always aware of and in control of any changes to our cookie usage.
Review This Policy Periodically
We recommend checking this Cookie Policy periodically — particularly before or after any major Laborate website update. The current version is always available at laborate.com/legal/cookie-policy/. The Cookie Registry in Section 12 is the definitive list of cookies currently active on laborate.com.
